Illinois-based attorney and business owner Heidi Scott has built a distinguished career in tax law, estate planning, and real estate. As the owner of Schuyler Brown Land Title and founder of the Law Offices of Heidi Scott, she provides comprehensive legal services. She previously served as a tax attorney with the Illinois Department of Revenue, where she played a key role in tax litigation and the development of the Innocent Spouse Relief provision in Illinois law.
Ms. Scott holds a bachelor's degree in international relations from Luther College, where she graduated magna cum laude, and a juris doctor from SIU School of Law, where she served as student editor of the SIU Law Journal. She also gained international experience during a semester in Germany while completing her undergraduate studies.
Her leadership extends to her involvement with the Illinois Government Bar Association (ILGBA), where she served as president and initiated the ILGBA Scholarship Award. Ms. Scott is also committed to her community, founding the Mt. Sterling Sporting Hornets Soccer teams and coaching local youth soccer.
In addition to her work, Heidi Scott enjoys listening to and playing music and has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Africa, and Bali, enriching her appreciation for different cultures.
